Gene therapy has been considered to be one of the most critical advances in medical history because of it’s strong effectiveness. People with curable genetic illnesses can be cured with the intricate procedure of gene therapy. There are many different techniques of gene therapy, it just depends on what kind of manipulation of the DNA is needed. Although the most common type of gene therapy is one that involves either replacing the malfunction genes of the diseased patient with a healthier, normal DNA sequence, or extracting the defective genes from the disease patient’s body. Now when the once-diseased cells with the once-defective genes beings to multiply, the new cells will inherit the healthier, normal DNA.
